Privacy Policy for PatissierPath

This document explains, in plain terms, what PatissierPath knows about you. The short version: almost nothing, and none of it leaves your phone unless you ask the coach a question.
1. No account, no profile, no tracking
PatissierPath has no sign-up screen and no login. We do not ask for your name, e-mail, phone number, or date of birth. The baker name you may type in Settings is a label for your own screen and is never transmitted. There is no advertising identifier in this app, no analytics kit, no crash reporter, and no third-party measurement code of any kind. Nobody at our end can see which techniques you drilled or which exam you failed.
2. Where your practice record lives
Your specialty, weekly plans, day results, technique marks, quiz scores, exam attempts, medals, streak, and coaching history are written to the app's own sandboxed folder on the device, in files that only PatissierPath can read. Nothing is uploaded, backed up to us, or synced between devices. If you remove the app from your iPhone or iPad, iOS deletes that folder with it and the record is gone for good. Settings also contains a reset control that clears the same files on demand.
3. The one time something is sent off the device
The Coach tab is the only feature that uses the network. When you tap Ask Coach - either on a bake debrief or on a weekly review - the text you filled into that form is sent to OpenAI and processed by the gpt-4o-mini model, which writes the diagnosis and the drill suggestions that come back. Exactly what is sent: the technique or dish you named, the symptoms you selected, your free-text notes, the oven details you typed, and (for a weekly review) a short digest of which days you finished and which techniques you practised. Nothing else. Your baker name, your medals, your exam notes, and your stored history are never attached to the request. The first time you open the Coach tab, the app explains this and waits for you to agree; if you decline, the tab stays closed and the rest of the app works exactly as before. 4. Reminders
If you switch practice reminders on, the notification is scheduled by iOS on the device for the dates in your own plan. The schedule is not visible to us and no push server is involved.
5. Deleting what you have
Because we hold nothing, there is no server-side record to request or erase. Clearing the program from Settings or deleting the app removes everything, immediately and permanently.
6. Young bakers
PatissierPath is written for adults and older teenagers learning pastry work. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly gather information from them. As above, the app cannot gather personal information from anyone.
7. Kitchen sense
The coach's answers are informational technique guidance, not food-safety or dietary advice. Follow the storage, temperature, and allergen rules that apply where you bake.
8. Updates to this policy
If the app's data behaviour changes - for instance if a future release adds a feature that sends something new - this policy is rewritten before that release ships and the date at the top changes with it.
