Patcha House is easy to reach by Train (infos from 2018):

You can take a Night Train from Bangkoks main Train Station Hualamphong for a 12 hours ride to the city of Surat Thani in the south of Thailand.
The nicest 3 Trains are leaving at 17:35, 18:30 and 19:30
Recommended to book second class sleeper lower berth for around THB 800
When you arrive in Surat Thani in the morning there is an easy to find bus leaving every hour directly at the train station for a 3 hour ride to Khao Lak for around THB 200.
Tell the bus driver to drop you in Khao Lak at the "Seven-Eleven" Leam Pakarang which is 400 meters away from Patcha House.

If you don't like trains, you can also fly to Phuket Airport, which is 80 km from Patcha House. From there it's a bit tricky to go to Khao Lak by bus. So most people pre arrange a pickup/taxi for around THB 1200 -1500 to drive directly to your hotel in Khao Lak. Patcha is happy to help you arranging this pickup from the Airport.

Another Option is a direct bus from Bangkok Southern bus terminal to Khao Lak. Takes about 12 hours and cost around 600-1000 thb (normal or VIP bus). Can also drop you at the "Seven-Eleven" Leam Pakarang 400 meters away from Patcha House.
