• Pet Information: For Pet Owners, we collect detailed information you
provide about your pets, which may include name, photo, breed, age,
gender, weight, personality traits, allergies, veterinary notes, vaccination
history, and details about their diet and walking regimen.
• Communications: We collect the information you provide when creating
appointments (including any notes), leaving reviews for Service Providers,
or when Service Providers respond to reviews.
• Usage Data: We may collect information about how the Service is accessed
and used, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and
pages visited.
• Cookies (Web Version): We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to
track activity on our web service and retain certain information. You can
control the use of cookies through our cookie banner and settings. We use
Strictly Necessary, Performance, and Functional cookies to operate and
improve the website.
• Location Information: With your permission, we may collect and process
information about your device's precise location (Geolocation) to help you
find nearby service providers or to track your pet's walks.
• Movement and Activity Data (Mobile Version): With your permission, our
mobile application may access your device's motion sensors (Activity
Recognition) to count steps during a walk when using the Walk Tracking
feature.
• To Provide and Maintain our Service: To create and manage your account,
facilitate appointment booking, and display profiles.
• To Connect Users: To display Service Provider profiles to Pet Owners and to
share necessary Pet Owner and pet information with Service Providers for
confirmed appointments.
• To Personalize Your Experience: To show you relevant information, such as
nearby providers, and to manage your pets' specific needs like walk or
vaccination reminders.
• To Communicate With You: To send you service-related notifications, such
as appointment confirmations, reminders, and updates. This includes
sending Push Notifications to your device if you grant permission.
• To Improve our Service: To understand how our users interact with the
platform so we can improve features and usability.
Your information is shared only in the following circumstances:
• Between Users: PataPedia's primary function is to connect users. Service
Provider profiles (including business name, services offered, location, and
reviews) are publicly visible to users of the Service. When a Pet Owner
requests an appointment, their name and relevant pet profile information
are shared with the Service Provider. For confirmed appointments, contact
information (email, phone number) may be shared between the Pet Owner
and Service Provider if the Pet Owner has enabled this in their profile
settings.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by
law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Our mobile application will request the following permissions to enable specific
features. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.
• Location (`ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`): Required for Walk Tracking to
record your pet's walk route and for the map feature to show your location
relative to providers.
• Camera (`CAMERA`): Required to allow you to take new photos for your
profile or your pets' profiles.
• Photos/Media (`READ_MEDIA_IMAGES`): Required to allow you to choose
existing photos from your device's gallery for your profile or your pets'
profiles.
• Push Notifications (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`): Required to send you timely
reminders for appointments, vaccinations, and other important events.
• Motion & Fitness Activity (`ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION`): Required for the
Walk Tracking feature to count your steps using your device's low-power
motion sensors.
You have rights over your personal information:
• Access and Update: You can review and update your account and profile
information at any time through your profile settings.
• Location, Camera, and Other Permissions: You can disable permissions for
our mobile app at any time through your device settings. Note that disabling
certain permissions may cause related features to stop working.
• Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time. This will
permanently remove your personal data, pet profiles, and appointment
history from our active systems.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to
protect your personal information. We retain your information for as long as your
account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service.

Features and data collection are for testing and demonstration purposes. We
recommend you do not use real, sensitive personal information beyond what is
necessary to test the application's functionality.
