Pasta Shelf life: Freeze immediately up to 2 months. Do not thaw, but cook from frozen state.
Pesto Shelf life: Keeps a month in the fridge and what is left may be frozen for another 2 months.
We have eight different types of pesto! All are made with fresh basil, garlic, pine-nuts, almonds, olive oil, parsley, cheese (milk), mustard and spices! Which are all perfect for the following recipes.
And yes, we do offer a nut free option and a vegan option!
Ingredients:
a) Bread (of your choice)
b) Your favourite pesto
Preparation:
1) Cut bread into bite sized pieces
2) Spread Pesto on the buns
3) Bake at 350 degrees for 10 mins until brown on bottom
4) Enjoy!
Ingredients:
a) Pesto
b) Sour Cream
c) Yogurt
d) Salt and Pepper to taste
Preparation:
1) Panfry 1/2 container of pesto until flavour is released; scrape pesto into bowl to cool completely.
2) Mix 2 parts sour cream to 1 part yogurt, salt and pepper to taste
3) Enjoy!
Ingredients:
a) Brie Cheese
b) Fruits (Apples, Cantaloupe, Honeydew)
c) Sliced French Bread
d) Cranberry Pesto
Preparation:
1) Bake brie cheese in oven with pesto spread over it
2) Serve with sliced fruit and bread
3) Enjoy!
Ingredients:
a) Pesto
b) Meat
c) Olive Oil
d) any yummy sides of choice
Preparation:
1) Add 3 tsp of pesto to meat and mix well. Let it sit for 1 hour.
2) Add the rest of the pesto into a bowl with 1/2 cup olive oil and whip well.
3) Barbecue the meat until cooked, brush on the mixture and let cook for another 1-2 mins.
5) Enjoy!
Ingredients
a) Slice 8-10 potatoes 1/4" thickness
b) Shredded cheddar, mozzarella & parmesan cheese
c) Chopped parsley or cilantro
d) Pesto
Preparation:
1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2) Put potatoes into boiling water for 4 minutes
3) Heat whole container of pesto in non-stick frying pan until flavour is released (2-3 min)
4) Turn heat off. Drain potatoes, and mix in the pesto pan
5) Layer half the potatoes into a casserole dish. Sprinkle cheese and herb mix
6) Layer remainder of potatoes and again with cheese and herbs
7) Cover with tin foil and bake for 35 mins. That's it!
8) Enjoy!

a) Pesto
b) Balsamic Vinegar
c) Olive Oil
d) Salt & Pepper to taste
Preparation:
1) Panfry 1-2 tsp pesto until you smell garlic
2) Scrape sauce into blender and allow to cool to desired temperature (hot or cold)
3) Add 1 part balsamic vinegar, 2 parts oil
4) Blend for 1 min and pour pesto over the salad
5) Enjoy!

b) Vegetables, Mear or Both
Preparation:
1) Slice meat into desired thickness
2) Panfry meat and at the same time blanch chopped veggies in boiling water
3) When meat is cooked add 2-3tsp of pesto and toss well
4) Enjoy!
Ingredients:
a) Lemon
b) Fish or Chicken Breast
c) Pesto of your choice
Preparation:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees and slice a lemon
2) Layer lemon slices on casserole dish with meat on top
3) Put a little water in the casserole dish with tinfoil
4) Bake in oven foe 30-40 mins (depending on thickness)
5) When meat is cooked, pour out water and spread pesto, broil meat for 2 mins
Tip: Use a spatula to lift out the fish/chicken, so it will not fall apart
6) Add lemon on top
7) Enjoy!
Can be frozen up to 2 months and cooked straight from frozen! Only takes 5-10 mins in boiling water
