Passport Photo ID Maker · Effective July 23, 2026
Passport Photo ID Maker ("the app", "we") creates biometric document photos entirely on your device. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it stays, and the choices you have. The short version: your photos never leave your iPhone unless you choose to save or share them.
The short version
• All photo processing happens on your device — nothing is uploaded.
• No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no trackers.
• Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
• Your work is stored locally. Deleting a project — or the app — deletes it.
Your photos are processed on-device
When you take or import a photo, every step — face detection, automatic cropping, background removal, photo enhancement, compliance checks, and export rendering — runs locally on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks (Vision and Core Image). Your photos are never transmitted to us or to any third party, and the app makes no network requests to process them.
What the app stores on your device
• Your photo projects: the source photo, your edit settings, and the files you export.
• App preferences, such as units and photo quality.
• Purchase state, such as which projects you have unlocked, so your re-exports stay free.
All of this lives in the app's private storage on your device. It is included in your normal device backups (for example, iCloud backup), which you control in your device settings.
What we do not collect
The app has no user accounts and does not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or any other personal information. It contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We do not sell or share personal data — we never receive it in the first place.
Purchases
Premium unlocks and single-photo purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We never receive your payment card details. Apple provides us only aggregated, non-identifying sales statistics. Refunds and billing questions are handled by Apple through your Apple account. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Permissions the app asks for
• Camera — to take your document photo in the guided frame. Optional: you can import a photo instead.
• Photo Library (add only) — to save your finished photo to your library when you tap Save.
• Choosing an existing photo uses Apple's photo picker, which shares only the specific photos you select — the app never browses your library.
Saving and sharing
Exported photos and print sheets leave the app only when you choose to save them to Photos or Files, share them, or print them. Copies you save or share are then under your control, outside the app.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone — including children. A parent or guardian may use the app to create a document photo of their child; like every photo in the app, it stays on the device.
Data retention and deletion
Everything the app stores stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual projects from My Photos, and deleting the app removes all data the app stored. Photos you saved to your photo library or shared elsewhere are not affected.
Network use
The current version of the app makes no network connections of its own. Actions such as contacting support, rating the app, or opening this policy use your device's standard apps (Mail, App Store, browser). If a future version downloads updated document requirements, it will be a read-only download with no personal data attached, and this policy will be updated first.
Security
Your data is protected by iOS's app sandbox and your device's built-in encryption (passcode / Face ID / Touch ID). Because nothing is uploaded, there is no server copy of your photos to secure — or to breach.
Your privacy rights (GDPR, UK GDPR & CCPA)
Regional privacy laws — including the EU and UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — give you rights over the personal data a company holds about you, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or port it, and the right not to have it sold. The app collects no personal data and stores your photos and projects only on your device, so there is nothing on our side to access, correct, export, or delete — you already hold and control all of it, and deleting a project or the app erases it. We do not sell or share personal data, and we never receive it in the first place. If you have any question about your privacy, contact us using the details below.
International users
Wherever you use the app, processing happens locally on your device, so your photos are not sent to us or transferred across borders for processing. Using the app does not transmit your personal data to another country.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices ever change, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change ships.
