PASIFIKA FILM FEST 2019

JAN 31 - FEB 3

about

Salt Lake City's Pasifika Film Fest 2019 seeks to introduce Utah community members to diverse, contemporary films from across the Pacific and Oceania diaspora. The first annual festival will be a three-day event showcasing the works of Pacific Islander filmmakers from the U.S., Australia, Micronesia, Melanesia, and Polynesia. Panel presentations, film production, guest speakers, screenwriting workshops, and networking events will amplify the festival. Festival goers and attendees can expect top-quality programming of films and workshops. Pasifika Film Fest 2019 aims to enhance the vitality of independent filmmaking among and about Pacific Islander narratives. This year's festival will be hosted at The Gateway, the centerpiece of downtown, beginning February 1st. The festival is proudly hosted by Pasifika Film Fest, Smithsonian Asian Pacific American, and Pasifika First Fridays.
