PassGuard Pro — Password Manager
Last updated: March 18, 2026

Overview

PassGuard Pro is a browser extension that securely stores, generates, and autofills passwords. This privacy policy explains how the extension handles your data.

Data Collection

PassGuard Pro does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data with external servers. No analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts are used. The extension contains no remote code and makes no network requests.

Encryption

All passwords and credentials are encrypted using AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your master password via PBKDF2 with 600,000 iterations. Your master password is never stored anywhere. Only an encrypted verification token is kept locally to confirm your password on unlock.

Local Storage Only

All encrypted data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage using chrome.storage.local. Nothing is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party. Your passwords never leave your device.

Permissions

This extension requests the minimum permissions required to function:

Third-Party Services

This extension does not integrate with, connect to, or communicate with any third-party services, APIs, servers, or analytics platforms. All functionality runs entirely within your local browser.

Data Security

If you uninstall the extension, all stored data is permanently deleted. Exported vault backups are encrypted with your master password and can only be read with the correct password.

Children's Privacy

This extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 or any other age group, as it does not collect any user information at all.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
