Sign up to participate - you can play as an individual or as a team. You will receive clues and attempt to provide correct answers in order to receive the next clue. All the clues lead to the final prize which is a cash payout!
The day before the hunt beings, you will receive a welcome email from the Game Master (GM). The GM will run all aspects of the scavenger hunt and is your sole source of clues. The GM may ask for a reply email to confirm there are no issues sending/receiving emails with the GM.
When the scavenger hunt begins, you will receive your first clue via email. You will then attempt to find the answer to the clue and submit a response to the GM by replying to the email. Sometimes you may be required to provide a written response in the email, attach a photo, or both.
If your response is correct, the GM will provide you with the next clue. If you are incorrect, the GM will inform you and you may keep trying. If you're really stuck, don't fret; the GM will provide up to 2 additional "helper clues" for each challenge that you haven't solved yet.
Throughout the scavenger hunt, you may find yourself traveling to various locations, taking very specific photographs, finding hidden objects, interacting with people, researching things online, or many other challenging tasks.
The winner is determined by the first individual or team to correctly provide responses to all the questions/clues. The winner receives a cash prize payout! In the case of teams, the total cash prize amount is evenly divided amongst the team members.
Single day scavenger hunts are great for newer social groups looking to team-build or folks who must travel a bit to get to the main location. They are characterized by:

Winner is declared by either a) solving the final challenge or b) whoever is furthest along at the predefined completion time
Multi-day scavenger hunts are great for the more serious players out there, or friend groups spread over a broader area. They are characterized by:
All scavenger hunt players can be at any location when the event starts
Scavenger hunt work may cover multiple geographic locations and also include online/virtual challenges
Team members may split up the work and delegate tasks and challenges amongst the team members to work independently
Responses to player submissions are provided on a daily basis
Helper clues for un-solved challenges are provided twice per week
Event spans multiple weeks
Winner is declared by either a) solving the final challenge or b) whoever is furthest along at the predefined completion time
Be sure to read the Rules and Guidelines and adhere to them at all times while playing.
Add scavengerhunt80@gmail.com to your contacts so the clues don't end up in your spam folder.
During the scavenger hunt, you may encounter new topics or areas that you are unfamiliar with. If this happens, try to research these topics as much as possible to find the answer. You just might learn something in the process!
Note that while you may choose to quit the scavenger hunt at any time, there is no refund for any registration fees once submitted (unless agreed to in writing by the GM). Besides, no one achieves greatness in life by quitting, so why start now?
All cash payouts will be delivered via PayPal to the email address used to register, unless otherwise specified by the DM.
Always remember the most important rule - HAVE FUN!
