Título:

Dynamics of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes population with sterile insect technique and insecticide.

Resumo:

In this work it is presented a mathematical model to describe the dynamics of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes population in which sterile male mosquitoes (produced by irradiation) are introduced as a biological control. Besides there is application of insecticide as chemical control. Here there are described populations of mosquitoes in aquatic phase, females before mating (singles), mating fertilized females, mating unfertilized females, male insects and sterile (irradiated or transgenic) male insects. This model corresponds to a generalization of a mathematical model proposed in Thomé, Yang and Lourdes [2010].

The main objective of this work is to obtain existence and uniqueness of the system of nonlinear partial differential equations corresponding to the model mentioned above.
