Relaxation and stress relief. The therapist uses smooth, gliding strokes and light-to-medium pressure.
Chronic pain and muscle knots. Uses more intense pressure, often using elbows or forearms (as shown below) to reach deeper muscle layers.
Flexibility and energy. Performed fully clothed on a mat. It involves assisted yoga-like stretching and rhythmic pressing.
Deep muscle relaxation without heavy pressure. Smooth, heated volcanic stones are placed on the spine or other key areas to melt away tension.
Tired feet and systemic balance. Focuses entirely on pressure points in the feet (and sometimes hands) that correspond to body organs.
Mood enhancement and stress. (Similar visual to Swedish massage, but with the addition of essential oils). The therapist uses specific scented oils like lavender or eucalyptus to aid relaxation.
Injury prevention and recovery. (Often looks similar to Deep Tissue but focuses on specific muscle groups used in your sport). It includes stretching and faster-paced strokes to warm up or cool down muscles.
