We're trying to use the Remote Recorders public API endpoints but I can see they require a hardware partner API key. We are a hardware partner, so my question is how can I obtain a partner API key? And do I need two different API keys for each instance of Panopto we have such as test and live environments?

Are we able to change the state of the remote recorder using the heartbeat endpoint? For example, we're trying to keep the remote recorders in an active state for ad hoc recordings, as described in this previous post:

A real world example of this, is that after after a winter or summer break, most recorders will be in state 4 as described in the link below as such a recording can take a while to start as it only checks in with the server every 5 minutes. We ran a test on a remote recorder which was in state 4, and it took around 5 minutes to start.

The exact implementation of the recorder service will vary by partnerbut must be designed to support multiple recorders in order to achievehigh availability and geographical distribution of deployment to reducelatency from Teams to the recorder. In addition, it is expected thatRecorders themselves be designed with resiliency and redundancy in mind.

The Azure and Windows VM requirements only apply to the Teams Botcomponent, which means that a partner may implement the rest of theplatform of their choice provided they can meet the relevant performanceand functional requirements for compliance recording.

IT Administrators can determine which users are to be recorded and whichrecorder will be used for each user, by creating and assigningcompliance recording policies. Recorders are automatically invited toparticipate in conversations based on the configuration of thesepolicies when a communication interaction takes place. Compliancerecording policies are managed using MicrosoftPowerShelland can be applied at the tenant, per-user, and security group level for eachorganization. Ah yes I believe the OAISYS call recorder was rebranded as the MiVoice recorder when Mitel acquired ShoreTel and OAISYS, however from what I gather from talking to our support company, there is no longer any support for the OAISYS recorder as it has been dropped (I can't verify this from trying to research online as yet)

We always found the OAISYS recorder very clunky and the UI pretty dated - as well as user management and extension assignment / recording troublesome, due to the nature of the contact centre and turnover of staff / extension number recycling.
