P.S. The contrast could not be more clear. Their side is resigning in disgrace. Our side is organizing for change. Start your $1-a-day sustaining gift now and let’s make history. Donate here.
This week the coffin was sealed on the head vampire. Over the past couple of months, the political establishment here in Colorado was rocked by a sweeping ethics complaint involving bribery and corruption. At the center of it is the very caucus my opponent proudly stands with.
The situation is so severe that their founding chairwoman—once considered untouchable—has just resigned from her legislative position in disgrace.
Their house of cards is collapsing.
For months, our campaign has been talking about the urgent need for transparency, affordability, and integrity in government. We’ve said that the old way of doing business—backroom deals, cozy alliances, and misplaced priorities—is failing our community.
Now, we’re seeing it play out in real time.
While my opponent’s allies are embroiled in scandal, our campaign remains independent. We caucus with no one but you. We’re building a movement focused on:
Real transparency in how decisions are made and dollars are spent.
Genuine affordability measures that put money back in your pocket.
Urgent action on the issues that matter most to families, not insiders.
This scandal underscores the stark choice before us: more of the same corrupt politics, or a new path built on principle.
Moments like this don’t come often. The public is paying attention. The contrast has never been clearer.
But to win, we must seize this opportunity. We need to:
Amplify our message of integrity and independence across digital and traditional media.
Organize in every neighborhood, turning outrage into action.
Secure our resources to ensure this story—and our positive vision—is what voters remember on Election Day.
Running a clean, independent campaign means we don’t rely on special interests or corrupt caucuses. We rely on you.
That’s why today, I’m asking you to become a sustaining member of our campaign with a monthly gift of $31—just $1 a day.

solidaridad siempre,
Brienna Parsons
Candidate for House District 36
My name is Brienna Parsons, and I am running to represent Colorado House District 36, not big money like my opponent Michael Carter here.
Our community's needs are clear and urgent. Public data from Point-in-Time (PIT) counts indicate that 650 individuals will be unhoused in Aurora next year, with a significant number of those finally seeing some assistance thanks to the new Aurora Regional Navigation Campus. U.S. Census figures reveal that here in our district, Of the half of Colorado renters who are cost-burdened (spending more than 30 percent of their monthly income on housing), a quarter of renters and 10 percent of owners are severely burdened. In 2023 Aurora found that to be nearly 19,480 Aurora families spending more than they can afford on housing, a cost that, according to the U.S. Federal Housing (FHFA) House Price Index (FHFA HPI®), has doubled in just a decade with a year-over-year increase of 7% .
Yet, the political forces influencing our current representation prioritize a different kind of investment. According to the official Colorado TRACER campaign finance system, in the last election cycle alone, the dark money group “One Main Street” spent over $800,000 in untraceable funds on elections right here in Aurora. A significant portion of that anonymous money was deployed specifically to support the incumbent of HD-36, Michael Carter, and his so-called "Opportunity Caucus."
This is the stark choice before us: Should our government address the documented crises of housing and affordability, or should it remain accountable to a pipeline of secret spending?
I am running to unseat Michael Carter to end this corruption. I will fight for a government transparent and responsive to the people of District 36—not to the dark money that has bought our current representation.
I ask for your support. Thank you.
