Daybreak is an OK-to-wake clock for young children. It was designed to collect nothing.
What we collect
Nothing. Daybreak does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
No account, no sign-in. You don't create an account to use Daybreak.
No network. The app makes no network requests. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking of any kind.
On-device only. Your settings (wake times, bedtime, brightness, pace), the optional morning check-in log, and your parent PIN are stored only on your device. The PIN is saved as a one-way hash — never the digits themselves. None of this ever leaves your device, and we cannot see it.
No third parties. Daybreak includes no third-party SDKs that collect data.
No sensitive permissions. Daybreak does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or any device/advertising identifiers.
Children's privacy
Daybreak is meant for families with young children. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, it does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. This is consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data deletion
Because nothing is collected or stored off your device, there is nothing for us to delete. Deleting the app removes all of its local data from your device.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "last updated" date.
