The South Pennar River is known as Dakshina Pinakini in Kannada and Thenpennai or Ponnaiyar in Tamil, River has passing from there. It’s looking very charming in Early Morning and it’s waves echo playing like a music. You will enjoy it.
Thenpennai River is a good source of water for the villagers. It’s not providing only water to the villagers but also a big source of their feeding. Today’s there villagers drink it’s water directly and use water for cooking and also catching fish from it.
The villagers or their panchayat fix a bathing time for Ladies and Gents and make bathing “Ghat”. Everyone follow the rules made by them.
They using it for watered their crop land, bathing, washing clothes etc. There are some other sources of water like well, hand pump etc. but Thenpennai River is one of the best sources for water.

Beauty of Hills Temple:
The Varadaraja Swamy Temple (garbha gudi in the form of a linga) is located in Haleseebam hills in Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu, This temple is an ancient and reputed Vishnu temple,This temple has been constructed by village people over a period of time 18th centuries.
About 2 years ago there was no road facilities to this temple. People used to reach the place by walking, At present there are road connections from Haleseebam village to Hills temple and the road facilities arranged by village people.
Festival time Maha Deepam will be lit up at around 6 pm at the top of 1048 ft high holy hills. The entire hills is green. Maha Deepam will be lit up using nearly 5 kg of Ghee, Cotton Wick & Bodhi tree sticks
