A hard and dense wood that has high strength properties but not suitable for steam bending. The wood is susceptible to insect attack and is not considered durable. Used in furniture, decorative veneers, handles, boat building, and inlays.
Normally stock 4/4 thick lumber.
Specific Gravity is around .74
