A Hawaiian wood , introduced from Australia, can have a pronounced figure or flaking grain when quartersawn. Moderate to easy to work and glues and finishes well. The sawdust can cause contact dermatitis or skin and eye irritation to some. Makes beautiful inlays and used in furniture and small turnings.
