A hundred words. I wanted to say that, no reason at all. I just feel like i’m gonna live the amount of words i mutter and write. And in those hundred years i want you to keep me company, watch us grow, watch the autumns passing with me.
I came to the beach today. I'm not very sure if we have anything to reconcile about, unsure if it was a fight. Did i offend you? Never too sure. But all i know if that you're still my friend…perhaps? Maybe, hopefully.
“The soft foam that follows after a crashing wave is always soothing to the ears, isn’t it?” A whimsical feeling whirls around my heart like a nearing parade.
I knew you’ll be here.
“Its been awhile.” a nod, a smile. “Did you miss me?” i hung onto those words with uncertainty while he only laughed softly, like the milkyway spilling with stars and comets.
“We missed a few summers.”
“Yeah.”
“I want you back, you know that?”
“I’m never gone.” soft as the hands that placed itself on the top of my hair, my face was burning immensely.
“You just didn’t sleep enough.”
“Does my eyes scream of sleep deprivation?”
“Quite.”
“Well your eyes told me you’ve been doing rather well. Good for you.”
“We all live on the opposite ends of the earth.” true, perhaps its night when my sky is day, but i’m glad were sharing this side of earth.
“Come, i have a few things i wanna try today.”
Operation Invitation!
✩
“Argh! I forgot!” troubled as a windy rush, i sighed exasperatedly. We sat by the metal railroads, the last one in the previous of dreams. “It’s alright it’ll come back at you, just try not to think of it then it’ll come back—”
Snap! Resoundingly as my fingers did. “Yes thats right! I met a girl a few days ago, her name was Tyther. She’s very pretty, white dress and summer hat. Does it ring any bells?”
“Sorta, i think her dreams are ones with lots of fields and springs?” he slant his head to the side. With the sight of him like this i can’t help but be reminded of a golden retriever.
“Correct! She’s very mysterious.”
“I’d say so too.”
The whole operation of this dreamscape is very mysterious to me. I don’t know why i am meeting people like them here, nor how we ended up like this. Never too sure whether they even are real. Not that it matters, people aren't so bad when i think of the lovely qualities they posses and the things they love.
I see him in every friend.
“That also reminds me…mr. fern eyes, i’ve never called him by his name. You seem to know each other.” this is my only chance to know. “You wont be able to hear it, the same way you can’t hear mine.”
“Well this is frustrating, how am i gonna find you in the world if its like this.”
“You want to find me?” he blinks, astonished.
“Who wouldn’t!” maybe i’m being too bold for comfort but it must be confessed. He still kept his smile though, thats a good sign.
“I’ll do the finding.”
“I’ll do that too. It’s faster that way.” that pretty face of his always exudes an aura of analysis, like he’s reading the depths of my heart. I cant help but feel a little self-conscious at first but it feels nice, to be seen, to be read. You wouldn't even have to tell a lie.
I’m glad i’m no longer a lobster to you, red from the color of my clothes. You're peering deeper the center of this hammering heart of mine. Perhaps i’ll read to you my poems.
