PaperLoop Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 9, 2026
PaperLoop is an educational application that provides access to study resources, including past papers and related documents. This Privacy Policy explains how PaperLoop handles information when you use the application.
Information PaperLoop collects
PaperLoop does not require users to create an account or provide a name, email address, phone number, password, payment information, precise location or contact list.
To operate and protect the service, PaperLoop generates a pseudonymous guest installation token. This token and limited network information may be transmitted to the PaperLoop backend.
The backend may process a hashed network or installation identifier and basic request information for controlled document access, rate limiting, fraud prevention, security and service reliability. These identifiers are not used to identify users by name.
Information stored on your device
PaperLoop may store the following information locally on your device:
Recently opened resources
Downloaded documents and offline resources
App preferences and cached catalogue information
Reports or feedback drafted through the app
The pseudonymous guest installation token
You can remove locally stored information by clearing PaperLoop’s app data or uninstalling the application.
How information is used
PaperLoop uses limited technical information to:
Provide access to educational resources
Generate secure, temporary document-access links
Prevent abuse and excessive automated requests
Protect the application and backend systems
Maintain service reliability
PaperLoop does not use this information for advertising, behavioural profiling or cross-app tracking.
Data sharing
PaperLoop does not sell user information.
PaperLoop does not share user data with advertising networks, data brokers or marketing companies. Technical infrastructure providers may process limited information only as necessary to host and deliver PaperLoop’s backend and educational documents.
Advertising
The current version of PaperLoop does not contain advertising SDKs or personalised advertisements.
If advertising is introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the application’s Google Play disclosures will be updated before that version is released.
Security
Information transmitted between PaperLoop and its production backend is protected using encrypted HTTPS connections.
PaperLoop applies technical safeguards intended to protect its systems, including pseudonymous guest tokens, hashed security identifiers, access controls and rate limiting. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
Locally stored information remains on your device until it is removed through the app, the app’s storage is cleared or PaperLoop is uninstalled.
Pseudonymous backend security records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, investigate security incidents, comply with legal obligations and maintain the service. PaperLoop does not maintain personal user profiles for ordinary app users.
Children and target audience
PaperLoop is designed primarily for students aged 13 and older, including O Level, A Level and adult learners. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
External documents and links
PaperLoop may provide access to educational documents or external links. External websites and services operate under their own privacy policies, and PaperLoop is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
PaperLoop may update this Privacy Policy when its features or data practices change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
