SUMMARY
Paperbolt does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Every document operation runs entirely on your device. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no backend servers.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
None. Paperbolt does not collect your name, email address, phone number, device identifiers, location, contacts, or usage statistics. Nothing is sent off your device.
YOUR DOCUMENTS
Documents you open, create, or edit in Paperbolt are processed locally and are never uploaded anywhere. When you open a file, the app copies it into its own private storage so that Android's document permissions cannot expire in the middle of an operation. That cache is cleaned automatically, and you can clear it at any time from Settings.
PERMISSIONS
Paperbolt asks only for what a feature needs. Document access is used to open and save the files you pick. Camera access is optional and is requested only if you use scan to PDF; those images are processed on your device. No permission is used to gather information about you.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Google Play build uses Google ML Kit for text recognition (OCR). ML Kit runs on your device and does not send your images or extracted text to Google. Paperbolt contains no advertising, tracking, or analytics libraries. The app is open source under the Apache License 2.0.
CHILDREN
Paperbolt is a general-purpose utility. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Because no data is collected or stored on any server, there is nothing for us to hold or delete. Uninstalling Paperbolt removes all of its local data from your device.
