M. Pancurák (*95, Prešov, Slovakia) works with the genres of New Media and Intermedia – exploring interactivity, coding, technology, moving images and extended photography.
In his work, he combines these New media elements with three-dimensional installations of moving images, creating dynamic visual and interactive experiences that invite viewers on an immersive journey of knowledge. Pancurák's artistic interest focuses on psychology, neuroscience and humanitarian-philosophical topics. From these areas, he draws inspiration for media artefacts that penetrate the complex workings of the mind and emotions.
On his artistic journey, Pancurák showed himself as an artist who constantly pushes the boundaries of Media art. With a firm foundation in technology, psychology and immersive aesthetics, his works offer a unique and fascinating insight into the complex relationships between humans, nature, technology and the mind.
Pancurák graduated from the New Media Arts studio of Prof. Michal Murín at the TUKE - Košice, Faculty of Fine Arts and Intermedia. {MFA} The studies were accompanied by several stays in various studios (ASP Krakow, Interactive media - FAMU Prague, Audiovisual studio - FAVU Brno, Game media).
