Summary
Palo is a personal life-organization app. Most of your data stays on your device. If you create an optional account, some data is backed up to our cloud provider (Supabase) so you can restore it. Your Journal is end-to-end encrypted — we cannot read it, and it is never used by any AI feature or search.
Palo is operated by [Shalini.N / Pal]. Contact: [nallashalini052@gmail.com].
On-device only (never leaves your phone unless you enable an account):
Tasks, routines, reminders, Life Templates
Notes
Insights and behavioral statistics (computed locally)
App settings
With an optional account (backup/sync):
The above data is stored in your private, access-controlled cloud space (Supabase, protected by Row-Level Security so only your account can access it).
Your email address and authentication provider (Google or email), used only to sign you in.
Journal (special protection):
Journal entries are encrypted on your device before any upload, using a key derived from a password only you know.
We receive only ciphertext — unreadable to us, to our cloud provider, and to any AI feature.
Journal is never read by AI, never indexed by search, and never used for insights or planning.
Analytics & crash reports:
We collect anonymous product-usage events (e.g. "app opened", "task created") and crash reports (via Firebase) to fix bugs and improve the app.
These never include your notes, journal content, task details, or personal text.
Some features use a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) to help you plan. When you use AI planning/chat, the text you enter for that purpose is sent to the provider to generate a response. Your Journal is never sent to any AI provider. Your notes are not sent unless you explicitly use them in an AI request.
Notifications — to deliver your reminders.
Display over other apps (overlay) — to show a brief "Smart Focus" nudge if you open a distracting app during a focus activity.
Usage access — to detect which app is in the foreground only during an active Smart Focus task, so we can show that nudge. We do not log or upload your app-usage history.
Do Not Disturb access — to silence your phone during a focus task if you enable it, and restore your previous setting afterward.
Exact alarms — to deliver reminders at the exact time you set.
Internet — only to sync your data if you create an account, and for AI features you initiate.
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app: Supabase (encrypted storage/backup), Firebase (analytics/crash reporting), and Google Gemini (only text you submit to AI features). Journal ciphertext is shared with Supabase but is unreadable by anyone.
Delete individual items in the app at any time.
Delete your account to remove your cloud data. [Describe your deletion process once the Edge Function is live.]
On-device data is removed when you uninstall the app.
Palo is not directed at children under [13 / your chosen age]. [Adjust per your target audience choice in Play Console.]
We'll update this page and the "last updated" date when this policy changes.
