All who come to camp must observe the Church’s standards at all times as explained in “For the Strength of Youth” pamphlet and exemplify Christ-like Behavior.
Have respect for other people’s property- vehicles, camp facilities, personal items, and so forth. Have a great attitude and treat others with kindness and respect and you’ll have a great camp experience. “He who has a friend without faults will be without friends.”
All language & conversation used at camp must be appropriate and uplifting. Foul language will not be tolerated, as well as, music or behavior that is not in harmony with the respectful atmosphere that should be maintained on the property.
The use of personal electronic devices is prohibited at Young Women Camp. This includes cell phones, MP3, CD and DVD players. Please leave all electronic devices at home. Adult leaders will have a cell phone available for emergency use.
No pets are permitted at Church recreation camps, even if they stay in your vehicle.
Do not bring face cards, romance novels or magazines to camp. Do not bring anything that will detract from the Spirit.
All clothing must be modest. Shirts must extend below the waistline and be long enough to cover the stomach and lower back, especially when bending over or raising hands or arms. No Sleeveless shirts, bare midriffs, or low riding pants will be allowed. Knee-Length shorts and Capri’s may be worn, if desired. For safety reasons, closed toed shoes are recommended.
Swimsuits need to be modest one piece or tankini. No bare midriffs. Swimsuits will only be allowed down at the lake. Please cover swim wear to & from lake and change quickly thereafter.
No initiation or hazing! All underclothing will remain under clothing!
All campers are encouraged to be at their campsite and observe a noise curfew from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for the enjoyment of all campers, leaders, and Camp Hosts.
No friends of either the youth or adult leaders who just want to visit are allowed. No young men under 18. Only married Priesthood leaders on assignment should be at camp.
Late arrival and early departure will only be allowed with approval of Stake Leaders.
The Rail Road is OFF LIMITS!! Crossing to the lake is only through the gate at designated times with an adult leader.
You can build fires ONLY in approved campfire rings provided by the camp.
An adult must supervise the fire at all times. You should have a bucket of water next to the fire. A shovel is also useful to have nearby.
Make sure fires have been completely extinguished with water and are cool to the touch— before leaving.
Permission to have campfires is subject to change according to the local fire marshal’s directive at the time. Please check with the camp manager regarding the current fire restrictions.
There may or may not be firewood at the campsite. Check with the camp manager or just bring your own firewood.
Cutting living trees and shrubs, and destruction of any vegetation is prohibited. No graffiti, carving or painting on the cabin walls or trees.
Before departing, it is the responsibility of your group to clean all the areas you have used. Please be courteous and clean up after yourselves, leaving the camp and facilities in as good or better condition than you found them.
**Parents and participants should understand that participation in an activity is not a right but a privilege that can be revoked if they behave inappropriately or if they pose a risk to themselves or others.
