PaisaBook is a local-first Android personal-finance app provided under the PaisaBook name. This policy explains how PaisaBook handles information when you use the app.
Information stored in the app
PaisaBook stores the information you enter to provide its features, including expenses, income, budgets, goals, subscriptions and bill reminders; category names, payment choices, notes and monthly plans; and language, currency, financial-year and app-preference settings.
This information is stored in the app's private on-device database and preferences storage.
No account, advertising, analytics or cloud sync
PaisaBook does not require an account. This version does not send your financial records to a PaisaBook server, does not include advertising or analytics SDKs, does not connect to your bank, and does not sell or share your financial information.
Notifications and device features
If you enable reminders and grant notification permission, PaisaBook schedules bill and subscription reminders locally on your device. You can revoke notification permission in Android settings.
PaisaBook uses vibration only for optional touch feedback. App lock uses your device's built-in biometric or screen-lock system; PaisaBook does not receive or store biometric data.
Backups, exports and imports
You choose if and where to create a backup or export. Password-protected PaisaBook backups are encrypted before you save them. JSON and CSV exports are legacy unencrypted files and should be handled carefully.
Files you export, import or share are controlled by you and may be subject to the privacy practices of the storage provider or recipient you choose.
Retention and deletion
Your records remain on your device until you edit or delete them. You can delete individual records in PaisaBook. To remove all locally stored PaisaBook data, uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings. Any exported or backed-up files must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them.
Security
PaisaBook keeps data in Android app-private storage and disables automatic Android backup. You can enable app lock and create password-protected encrypted backups for additional protection. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, so keep your device and any exported files secure.
Children
PaisaBook is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app to enter a child's personal or financial information.
Changes and contact
If PaisaBook's data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when the relevant app update is released.
