Changes to "What's New"
Here's what the What's New page used to look like.
I was not pleased with how basic and bland this page was.
My dear friend is a designer by trade and gave me some fun, helpful advice on how to spruce things up on this website.
Revision 1.
I moved the focus away from the date and put it towards what category each page slots into.
I've also started adding short descriptions to each link. Trying to incentivize y'all to click shit.
Not a bad start!
Revision 2.
Implementing a better system of "design hierarchy" (one of my new favorite types of hierarchy).
Focus is now on the individual page itself, while keeping the category big and visible.
Final version.
This is where I stopped and how the What's New page looks currently.
The categories are slightly smaller, the backgrounds alternating, the thumbnails have fun lil borders. Posts are now organized by month.
With the power of GIMP and my ability to muck my way through any program, I churned out these super high quality thumbnails for you to look at with envy.

I've been trying to follow some basic rules when organizing pages. Keep things in rows of 3s, have color coded borders, use the same fonts, etc.
These basic color borders help make this site appear way older than it really is and really helps sell the "old school web" vibe I'm going for.
Introducing: AGS Player Profiles!
So I had a "fun" idea. What if every Anime Girl Smackdown contestant had a player profile?
Starting with AGS Season 2: Hololive, that thought has become a reality!
All contestants now have short bios (ripped straight from the Hololive website).
The contestants (nearly) all have a featured music video! Click through all the contestants, check out their songs, and jam on! I've hand selected some of my all time favorite Hololive tracks to be featured on each page.
Alternate outfits are on display! I haven't uploaded every single outfit for every single person, but the majority of the idols' cute lil clothes are here for your enjoyment.
All of the contestants are divided into their respective generations. You're able to navigate through each generation with ease. A handy link to each of the girls YouTube channels is included as well.
New Contestant Thumbs
Using only the best and most official material, every season 2 contestant has an updated thumbnail! Long gone are the boring, tiny, white background jpgs of old. Fun, colorful, rounded corner (now clickable) thumbnails are here to stay!

Creating these individual player profiles took me a few days. And that's with having most of the info nicely provided for me by the official Hololive website! Thinking about crafting individual profiles for each contestant, season by season, sounds uhhh..... rough.
I'm not sure if I'll do every season. My current plan is to make profiles for the Wild Card seasons (v1 & v2), and maybe stop there. We'll see.
