Commemorative Wall
60x 88cm Acrylic on Breadboard 2016
This is an imaginative work. There are many references in the graffiti to various things connected to my experience of GrangeGorman. Irish benders and Burners was the group we created which converted old gas-bottles into wood-stoves to be sent off to Dunkirk before the winter. Keysha Nera Kitchen was a Bosnian refugee food kitchen set up by a friend of mine who I lived with in a nearby squat. The Dublin Critical Mass poster can be made out to those familiar with it. Gill was a sound Indian shopkeeper up the road. Free Kurdistan, free sandwiches was a nearby piece of graffiti. Gaza was a well known stencil drawing. Faff was a do-whatever religion invented by a friend among others.
