I mainly work with oil on canvas. My favorite themes revolve around love, childhood, spirituality, and history. My style is mostly surrealistic and symbolic. I try to express deep emotions—like inner struggle, sadness, and emptiness—through the facial expressions and gestures of my characters.
I’m also drawn to vintage scenes, which evoke a strong sense of nostalgia in me. I try to bring those times back to life—the lost innocence, the simple joys of living that seem rare today. I like capturing the charm of old street scenes, people enjoying life in its purest form.
Through my symbolic work, I aim to present the world from my own perspective. I often place nostalgic figures in confined, enclosed settings to reflect their lack of freedom. At other times, my characters are in search of a lost childhood world, a time of wonder and purity.
I prefer working in a traditional way with oil on canvas. I don’t use collage or mixed media.
Other subjects I enjoy painting include landscapes—where I’m always looking for that special light, that perfect moment when everything feels alive, and nature seems to speak, sing, or dance—portraits (often commissioned), and still life.
In landscapes, I search for beautiful sunlight, poetic shadows, or a captivating color palette. I pay close attention to the different times of day, the changing light, and subtle atmospheric shifts. Sometimes, a single tone in the sky or a particular color can stir emotions or awaken memories.
In still life, I’m fascinated by reflections in glass, the play of shadows, and the delicate tones of different objects. I also enjoy bold contrasts and shiny flowers. My goal is to capture the warmth of the present moment, to create a cozy and elegant atmosphere, almost like freezing time in a beautiful way.
