Hi All,

I would like to also request the addition of the existing Sample Paint (Eyedropper) tool from the Materials tray be added to the Tools Menu (under Paint Brush) and allow, more importantly, a shortcut to be assigned in Sketchup Preferences.

In my workflow, On a particular project I reuse the same Materials over and over after I set a palette of materials for the project. The availability of a Sample Paint shortcut would substitute one Shortcut keystroke for: a Shortcut (Paint Bucket) keystroke & diverting my attention from the geometry I am working on & a mouse click (to select the Sample Paint icon) from the Materials tray & moving back to my geometry.

So, all you need to do is press B, and then hold down the ALT key to sample any material in the model view, let up when the current material is set as you wish, and paint away as many objects as desired.

Do I only get to paint on the same layer as drawing layer? Then what would be the point of separating layers into 4 different types as O,L,C.U?

Or if I ever want to paint on the C layer, using brush tool and painting page by page would be the only option ?

It is still not working. Apparently, when I double click it, it is not a "LAYER" it is a "FOOTAGE PANEL" and I think that can be the problem. Do you guys have any idea how can I change the footage panel into layer panel? Note: even if the file is only jpeg, or even if I add new solid layer, when I double click, IT IS STILL a "FOOTAGE" layer. Really need your help.

Double-clicking a Layer in the Timeline provides different results and is dependent on the type of layer you apply the double-click on. If the layer is a normal layer (not a nested composition) then the Layer Panel will be invoked and the layer will be displayed. If the layer you double-click is a nested composition, then the nested composition's original/source composition will be invoked. If the layer being double-clicked has its Collapsed Transformation or Continuously Rasterize switch enabled, then double-clicking on such a layer does nothing. This is the case since AE prevents such layers from appearing in the Layer Panel.

Further, if you select any one of the following tools, Refine Edge, Rotobrush or Paint and you double-click on a layer, even a nested composition, the Layer Panel will appear. Off course such layers must not have their Collapsed Transformation or Continuously Rasterize switch enabled.

I'm really liking the "fuzzy skin" feature, but I'm finding the "Outside walls or All walls" selection is not flexible enough, i.e., there may be portions of a contiguous surface I want to make fuzzy, but not others. I'm thinking a paint tool that lets me specify what surfaces or portions thereof I want the fuzz effect on would be helpful. Is this doable? I don't see a github topic for this.

Thinking about how this might be implemented, "painting", given it's inherent imprecise nature, might not be the way to go. Better, perhaps, would be to implement it as an "Add Modifier" or "Add Part" feature which you could shape and place more precisely and assign the fuzzy attribute to it. I can see this opening up all kinds of possibilities such as uploading a logo/branding file to have it appear as a fuzzy "patch" on an otherwise smooth wall. In that respect, it would also be nice to have the fuzzy attribute available as a top layer fill pattern, with specifiable thickness and point offset as currently available. Maybe this is already available by this method (just thinking out loud here), I'll experiment a little.

I ended up creating a solid CAD model in the area where I wanted fuzzy skin. The trick is...I made it only one nozzle-width thick, so it manipulates the slicer only to make that single skin thickness fuzzy. This could get somewhat involved if making something complex, but I was able to extract the surface I needed and then just offset it to create a solid version. Then in the slicer, load that geometry as a modifier and set the fuzzy skin to be "outside walls". OR you can load the part and the modifier geometry as 'parts', but you'll need then change that geometry from a part to a modifier, otherwise the slicer will try to print it.

If I have a part of a wall that needs a specific color, I use the Modify > Paint tool to add a special material. Right now I have to navigate inside Revit to find that specific wall i want to paint, witch is a pain - so it would be very helpfull if I could paint the face directly in the enscape view. But I don't know is Encape has this kind of communication with revit?

While Revit allows direct control over Enscape and its output, there are limitations when it comes to the other way around - We have considered what you're requesting before, but doing so could also mean that the synchronization won't be kept up entirely. Not in every CAD solution at least either. I'll also bring this up internally again to see if there is anything else PM wants to add, but at the moment this is not a functionality we plan to implement anytime soon.

Hello, this is probably something very simple, but I just can't figure it out!!! I was paiting in a pixel mode using brush tool with an Apple Pencil, I often use a two tap gesture with my hands to scroll, and somewhere during this process my brush tool has stopped working. I have tried creating a new pixel layer, choosing a different brush, different color, checked that my layer and my swatch have a 100% opacity, NOTHING works. I have restarted Affinity Designer and even my Ipad with zero results. I cannot paint with my Apple Pencil, I also cannot paint with my own finger... It just doesn't do anything, although in History I do see using paint brush! I'm going crazy here... Eraser and vector brush tools work as expected, this only affects pixel paint brush tool... Can anybody help me out? Thanks in advance!

I have recently stated learning blender and I am working on a character. I tried sculpting in sculpt mode and all tools have been working fine except paint. I'm not able to paint anything and I cant seem to figure out why. Help!

The fireplace is a centerpiece in our home. The investment of time was ABSOLUTELY worth it. I was so worried the grout area would look odd with paint on it. I think that is what had me the most stressed. But I worried for nothing.

Doing this fireplace makeover has brought brightened up a dingy, yellowing space. Painting the slab not only covered up years of stains, but is now a non-porous surface that can easily be cleaned and dusted.

When you attempt to use the Brush Tool and set it to "Basic" what actually happens when you start to paint is the brush changes automatically to a calligraphic brush. Because... "Basic" is not a brush. I'm not meaning to imply you are deficient in any way for not knowing this.. Adobe is for putting "Basic" in the brush panel. 152ee80cbc
