Cordelia was always her father's daughter. She was far more interested in being in a meadow or up a tree than she was attending to her lessons. She was bright and cheerful and flitted around happily like a fairy out of a mortal storybook.

Cordelia's story takes two paths. In one, she was raised by her parents, along with her twin sister and younger brother. She was happy and loved and wanted for nothing--except maybe a bit more freedom from royal responsibilities. In the other, her life was far colder and lonely, and full of so much pain.
