The following is a list of different contests, publications, and places that you can submit your work for publication or recognition. We have tried to include places that often publish student work, don’t have submission fees, or are designed for students. We are in no way affiliated with any of these places and have simply made a list based on our own research so that you don’t have to. We cannot guarantee that you will be published or provide any information about these journals and their practices. We’ve tried to include important information like upcoming deadlines and submission fees, but always make sure to do your own research before submitting, because ours could be wrong. :) We would all be proud to know that our fellow PAH students have the bravery to submit and might even win!
Helpful reminders:
Note the requirements and themes of every publication
Check due dates
Know whether or not they allow you to submit the same piece to multiple publications at once.
Take a look at the latest issue if it is available.
Make a list of the places you would like to submit, sort them by due date, and submit!
Don’t be afraid of rejection: the worst thing that will happen is that your work won’t be published and nothing changes; the best is that it will!
