This was written for my Morning Pages which is a chance for students to free write anything that they would like. I also took the picture of the flowers and printed it to put in my notebook with my original version of Nature's Awakening.
. . . . . . .
I think what makes spring amazing is nature and change. As the snow melts, trees turn green, and the flowers bloom; the earth is coming alive after the long winter. The days get longer, as the sunrise welcomes a new day, and the glowing sunsets remind us that God, who created and loves us, paints the sky with His glory and power. The birds start singing their beautiful songs and the sound of rain taps on the windowsill. The fields turn green, and the rain showers help the flowers sprout in wondrous colors. The warmth starts to come back out after the long hibernation. The berries grow on bushes and trees while the honey comes from the buzzing bees. As butterflies in their mystical beauty fly from flower to flower; the birds build their nest for the season ahead. From the cold, gray, silent winter, the world and all the nature surrounding us can come out into the colorful, lively, warm spring.Â
