I wanted to share some of my experiences and insights over the past 4 months as a participant in the Lawson Management Development Program: Coordinator Trainee in the Operations field at Lawson Indonesia.
Switching careers was definitely one of my biggest decisions last year. However, it's been worth it. I've gained so much new knowledge and skills, from learning how to manage a retail business with a convenience store concept, to feeling like I'm back in "school" again, going through several phases of OJT, enjoying delicious food & drinks at Lawson 🤤 for free, and so much more.
Hopefully, this post can give a glimpse of my experience as an LMDP participant. For those interested in the retail industry or with further questions, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM.

In August 2021 and January 2022, during my internship, I assisted three times in analyzing and verifying higher education data at the Central Java Regional Police (Polda Jawa Tengah). The data was used for the requirements of the Police Academy (SIPSS Polri) and police rank promotions.
Here are some links to check your Higher Education Data:
"Asli Tapi Palsu" (commonly referred to as "ASPAL") refers to diplomas issued by higher education institutions but do not meet the requirements "Tidak memenuhi syarat" (read TMS) and are therefore not recognized legally by the government. This can happen due to errors made by operators in updating student data in PDDIKTI, not being registered on the SIVIL website, delayed submission of program accreditation, and various other reasons.
I advise those who already have higher education diplomas to check them independently. If there are any discrepancies or if you are not registered, please contact the operator of your respective study program immediately.
Basically, a guestbook is a book that contains a list of visitors or guests. I created a Guestbook in the form to track the number of people visiting my website. Of course, I don't require everyone to fill it out, but it would be very helpful if you would be willing to do so. The guestbook submissions will automatically be logged into my Google Spreadsheet (integrated). This way, I can keep track of when the form is filled out.
In the guestbook, I have included a column where you can provide feedback, suggestions, or just a message for me, and you can even fill it out anonymously. I won't be able to know the sender's identity if you don't fill in the name field because I created it using Jotform, not Google Form.
If you're interested in creating something similar on your website, here are some steps I used to make the guestbook form on my website:
Go to the JotForm website (www.jotform.com) and sign up for a free account if you don't have one.
After logging in, click on the "Create Form" button to start creating a new form.
Choose a Template, JotForm offers various templates, including guestbook templates. You can either choose a guestbook template or start from scratch by selecting "Blank Form."
Customize Your Form, Use the JotForm form builder to customize your guestbook form. You can add fields for name, email, feedback, comments, or any other information you want to collect from your visitors. Drag and drop the form fields to add them to your form.
Set Up Integration with Google Sheets:
To automatically log the guestbook submissions to your Google Spreadsheet, integrate your JotForm form with Google Sheets. Go to the "Settings" tab, select "Integrations," and search for Google Sheets. Follow the prompts to connect your JotForm form to your Google Sheets.
Save and Publish Your Form, once you have customized your guestbook form and set up the integration with Google Sheets, click on the "Save" button to save your changes. After that, click on the "Publish" button to make your form live.
Embed or Share Your Form, JotForm provides various options to share your form. You can embed it on your Google Sites, share the direct link, or use social media to promote it. Choose the method that suits your needs best.
In the digital age, having a personal website has become an essential aspect of establishing an online presence. In the beginning, I used Notion to create my website, a popular note-taking and organization tool, to draft content and manage ideas. However, when it comes to building a more polished and structured personal website, Google Sites emerges as a user-friendly platform.
How do I make a personal website with Google Sites? Here we go:
Creating a New Google Site
Go to Google Sites (sites.google.com) and click on the "+" button to create a new site.
Choose a template that best suits your personal website's style and purpose. Google Sites offers a variety of templates, from simple designs to professional portfolios.
Name your site and customize the URL to reflect your identity or brand.
Importing Content to Google Sites
Since I was using Notion, I only need to transfer the content from Notion to Google Sites.
On the new Google Site you created, click on the "Pages" tab on the right sidebar.
Click on the "+" icon to add a new page to your site.
Select "Import" from the options menu, then choose "HTML File"
Upload the HTML file exported from Notion.
Designing Your Website on Google Sites
Google Sites offers a straightforward drag-and-drop editor to customize your website's layout and appearance. You can add text boxes, images, videos, and other multimedia elements to your pages effortlessly. Play around with fonts, colors, and themes to make your website unique and visually appealing.
Publishing Your Google Site
Once you've finalized your website's design, click on the "Publish" button in the top-right corner. Google Sites will prompt you to choose a domain name for your site, either using a free subdomain (e.g., yourname.site.google.com) or a custom domain like mine (https://sites.google.com/view/pahlevireza/home).
Follow the instructions to publish your site and make it accessible to the world. With Google Sites' user-friendly interface and customization options, you can easily showcase your ideas, portfolio, or personal projects, making it a valuable tool for building an online presence in the digital landscape. The last, I use Bit.ly to set up my custom domain for free, yet still easy to remember.
Last April, 2023, my family and I went on a fairly long trip for"mudik" tradition. I tried to create a specific travel budget that calculates the fuel consumption during the trip using a spreadsheet.
Here is the link if you want to try it as well:
Spreadsheet Fuel Consumption Budgeting
If you want to use it, please download it first if you want to edit it using Microsoft Excel, or duplicate it if you want to edit it using a spreadsheet. Sheet one is an example of my travel budget, while sheet two is a blank example that you can use. Please make sure to delete the table content after trying it.
For the distance traveled, fuel consumption, and real-time fuel prices, you can check them on the internet or the provided link. There is also an option for a round-trip calculation if you need it.
