Data Collection PageNotes does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with external servers or third parties. The extension operates entirely within the user's browser.
Data Storage Notes and drawings created by the user are stored in two ways:
Chrome Sync Storage (chrome.storage.sync) – note text, position, color, size, and formatting settings. This data is synced by Google across the user's devices via their Google account, and is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy.
Local Storage (localStorage) – drawing data (canvas images) is stored locally on the user's device only and is never transmitted.
Permissions
storage – required to save and sync notes across devices.
activeTab – required to interact with the current tab when the user clicks the extension button.
scripting – required to inject the notes interface into pages that were open before the extension was installed.
The extension does not use these permissions to read page content, track browsing history, or collect any information about the user.
Third-Party Services The extension loads the Heebo font from Google Fonts for display purposes. This request is made directly from the user's browser to Google's servers. No user data or note content is included in this request.
Changes to This Policy If this policy changes, the updated version will be published alongside the extension in the Chrome Web Store.
