PAGEFACET PDF — PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: September 4, 2026
Developer: Binjiang Lanyi
Applies to: PageFacet PDF 1.0.0 for Android
Package: com.workpdf.sitehfn
SHORT VERSION
PageFacet PDF is a local document utility. It does not require an account, and the current version does not include Internet permission, advertising, analytics, or developer-operated cloud storage. Documents and related data are processed on your device. A file leaves the app only when you deliberately choose an Android document provider, storage destination, or sharing app that may transfer it elsewhere.
1. WHO THIS POLICY COVERS
This policy describes how Binjiang Lanyi, the developer of PageFacet PDF, handles information in the Android application PageFacet PDF. It does not govern independent apps, storage providers, or cloud services that you choose through Android.
2. INFORMATION THE APP ACCESSES AND PROCESSES
PageFacet PDF accesses information only to provide document features you request. Depending on the feature you use, this can include:
• PDF, DOCX, text, image, and camera content that you select, open, capture, create, mark, sign, convert, merge, split, export, share, rename, or delete.
• Document metadata exposed by Android, such as file name, MIME type, size, dates, content URI, and storage location.
• On-device app state such as favorites, recent documents, authorized locations, sort and filter choices, language choice, editor recovery snapshots, and interrupted-output cleanup records.
The app does not create a PageFacet account or request your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, payment information, or advertising identifier. If you voluntarily email the developer, the developer receives the address you send from, your message, and any attachment you choose to include. That support correspondence occurs outside the app.
3. HOW THE INFORMATION IS USED
The app uses selected content and local metadata only for app functions, including displaying and organizing documents; scanning pages; rendering PDFs; creating, converting, combining, splitting, exporting, marking, signing, renaming, sharing, and deleting files; restoring an interrupted editor session; and cleaning up incomplete private work files. Voluntary email correspondence is used to answer the inquiry, provide support, and maintain necessary support records.
4. PERMISSIONS
• Camera: requested only when you choose the scanning feature, so the app can capture pages. Camera access can be denied or revoked in Android settings.
• Read external storage on Android 9 and earlier: used only on those older Android versions to find supported local documents. This permission is limited to Android API level 28 and below.
• Android document access: the system document picker and Storage Access Framework let you choose files and folders without granting unrestricted access to all files.
The current version does not declare Internet, advertising ID, notification, microphone, location, contacts, or all-files-access permission.
5. STORAGE, RETENTION, AND DELETION
• Your source files and finished outputs remain in the Android or document-provider locations you choose until you delete them there or use an app command that clearly deletes the selected file.
• Temporary working files are stored in app-private storage while a task is active and are removed after completion, cancellation, or cleanup. Recovery files can remain after an interruption so the app can safely reconcile the task; legacy unmarked sessions are treated as stale after seven days.
• Preferences and local indexes remain on the device until you clear app storage, remove the relevant item or location where the app provides that control, or uninstall the app.
• Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain necessary support records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. You may ask for its deletion by using the contact address below, subject to any required retention.
Android system backup is disabled for PageFacet PDF. PageFacet PDF has no account and does not upload documents or app data to a developer server. You control app data through PageFacet PDF and Android's app-storage, file, permission, and uninstall controls.
6. SHARING AND EXTERNAL PROVIDERS
PageFacet PDF does not sell personal or sensitive information. It does not send documents to the developer. Standard email providers may process support correspondence when you choose to contact the developer.
When you tap Share, the app passes the file you selected to Android's system share interface, and you choose the receiving app. When you open or save a document through Android's document picker, the provider you choose may be local or cloud-backed. Any transfer, storage, or further use performed by that receiving app or provider is governed by its own privacy terms. Review the destination before confirming.
7. SECURITY
The app uses Android-scoped content URIs, user-selected document access, private app storage, and a non-exported file provider. Cleartext network traffic is disabled and the current build has no Internet permission. No security measure can eliminate every risk, so keep device access controls enabled and retain backups of important source documents.
8. CHILDREN
PageFacet PDF is a general document utility and is not directed specifically to children. The app does not knowingly collect children's personal information off the device.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This policy may be updated when app features or legal requirements change. The published page will show the new effective date. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its Google Play listing as appropriate.
10. CONTACT
