Welcome to my personal webpage | P. André D. Gonçalves
I am an Assistant Professor of Theoretical and Computational Physics at the Center for Polariton-driven Light-Matter Interactions (POLIMA) at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).
My research focuses on fundamental investigations of light–matter interactions at the nanoscale and on the theoretical modeling of the optoelectronic properties of complex nanostructures. My interests span a wide range of topics, including nanophotonics with atomically thin materials and related van der Waals heterostructures, quantum nanoplasmonics, polariton-enhanced phenomena, as well as novel electron–light–matter interactions in various spectromicroscopies. Besides the fundamental aspects of my research, I strive to leverage the created knowledge toward the control of light–matter interactions in the few-nanometer regime toward improved or entirely new optoelectronic devices.
