Effective date: September 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Package Disabler ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App on your Android device. We designed the App so that it needs as little data as possible. The App does not require an account, and we never collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, or files.
Package Disabler lets you enable, disable, and reset apps installed on your own device. It does this by connecting to your device's built-in Android Debug Bridge (ADB) service over Wireless debugging on the local network. All of this communication happens on your device only; nothing about your installed apps is uploaded by this process.
The App stores the following data locally, in its private app storage, and it is never sent to us:
A cryptographic key pair and certificate that Android uses to authorize the App's ADB connection.
The pairing/connection settings for Wireless debugging (for example, the port last used).
Simple preferences such as whether you dismissed the disclaimer dialog.
This data is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used so we can improve it. Firebase may collect:
Anonymous usage events, such as which setup step was completed, whether pairing or connecting succeeded, which filters or search were used, and whether a package was enabled, disabled, or reset.
The package name (technical identifier, e.g. com.example.app) of an app you enable, disable, or reset. We do not send the human‑readable app label.
Device and app information such as device model, operating system version, App version, language, country (derived from IP address), and a randomly generated app‑instance identifier.
Analytics data is aggregated and cannot be used by us to identify you personally.
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash and error reports. A report may include the device model, OS version, App version, a stack trace, the internal command that failed, and the time of the crash. Crash reports do not include the names of your apps or any personal content.
The App may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect:
Your device's advertising ID (which you can reset or delete in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Approximate location derived from IP address, device information, and ad interaction data.
Where required by law, you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. You can also opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings.
Google's use of advertising data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and the "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" page (links below).
The App may offer optional in‑app purchases (for example, to remove ads or unlock features). Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or full name. Google Play provides us only with a purchase token and product identifier so we can verify your purchase and unlock the item on your device. Google's handling of payment data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.
Internet / network state / Wi‑Fi state / multicast: to discover and connect to your device's own Wireless debugging service on the local network, to send analytics and crash reports, and (if enabled) to load ads.
Query all packages: to list the apps installed on your device, which is the core purpose of the App. This list is shown to you on‑device and is not uploaded as a whole.
Foreground service & notifications: to run the short pairing process and show the pairing‑code notification.
We use the information described above only to:
Operate the App's core features on your device.
Understand aggregate usage and fix crashes and bugs.
Display and measure advertising (if ads are enabled).
Verify and deliver in‑app purchases.
We do not sell your personal information.
The App uses the following third‑party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

Analytics and crash data is retained by Google Firebase according to its default retention settings (typically up to 14 months for user‑level data) and then deleted or aggregated. Data stored on your device remains until you uninstall the App or clear its data.
Opt out of personalized ads: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Reset or delete your advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Delete local data: uninstall the App or clear its storage in Android Settings.
Data access or deletion requests: contact us at the email below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Data stored by the App is kept in Android's private app storage, which other apps cannot read. The ADB connection to your device is encrypted with TLS. Data sent to Google services is transmitted over encrypted connections.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
