Looking for a good package disabler for thr V60 to block some apps I don't use or that drain battery. On the V20, I have always used Package Disabler Pro, which has always worked great, but was wondering if there are any newer, or better ones to use?

It re enables all disabled packages and forces you to enable unknown sources and install an app called PDP engine. There has been no word from the Dev as to why this change has been made other than its a fix"licensing issues". People are also saying it still doesn't work properly after I stalling this extra app.

there is an application available called package disabler Pro for Samsung and basically what it does is that it allows you to disable a bunch of installed software like the Microsoft Office applications and a bunch of other stuff from Samsung. My question is is there any real impact of disabling these apps other than so that you could hide them from the home screen? For example the phone comes preinstalled with Facebook and LinkedIn and although you cannot delete them a package disabler pro can be able to disable them. I don't really care about them appearing in the home screen because anyway I use a different launcher in I can hide it. my question is is there any real difference as having Facebook and LinkedIn and all those other Microsoft Office stuff even though I don't use them and just had them in the background as opposed to using package disabler pro to deactivate them? I have not logged into Facebook and LinkedIn because I don't use them so are they actually consuming any process in the background? Or is it that they are just there not really eating up any process at all until I open them. it's not even a space question anymore because first this beast has so much space and secondly I think package disabler pro doesn't really increase space. my question is more of those having those applications not disabled consume any amount of memory or processing power when not using them?

Most phone manufacturers install a range of applications and user interface tweaks on top of the stock Android operating system in order to give their device a more unique feel. Often these additions cannot be uninstalled, but they take up storage space on the device and require memory and processing power to run. Package Disabler Pro enables the removal of these packages (and any other installed packaged) by assuming the role of device owner at a system level, overriding the phone manufacturers block on uninstalling.

The context:

The package hot-code-push is included as part of meteor-base, and is very useful in the development environment (it automatically reloads your page when it detects changes).

The above works, however the package is still included as part of the Meteor bundle, and one of my top subscriptions is for meteor_autoupdate_clientVersions per screenshot below:

Package disablers are a great way to disable useless bloatware and free up RAM on your smartphone. Unfortunately, they can be a little dangerous to use, as carelessly disabling the wrong package can cause your S9 to act erratically or even freeze up entirely. Thankfully, there's a safe and painless way to disable over 120 bloatware apps and packages thanks to XDA user BAYmustafa96.

The major headache I got after purchasing the Samsung device is that their **bleep** updates. From the first two updates (not major one just Security patches) I realize that it's not going to make my device any better. So I disabled every way to block their updates. I don't care about any security patches or major android update as long as my phone works fine. Even if I impede all the update options I still get notifications every day for updates ( I made a post regarding that as well in the community). At last, the quest for disabling the Samsung update package ended in this paid app.

From the front page of the app by clicking the three-dot button on the top right-hand corner, you can disable all the bloatware at once. For me, it causes a lot of trouble since it removed the Samsung theme and some of the related packages. Thereby my Samsung account goes out of the window. By trial and error method I found out which of the bloat packages can be disabled without creating any inconvenience.

NOTE- you need to be careful, don't disable any system apps you aren't sure about. For example, you have the option to disable the Android system package. That's the one you never want to remove.

But you can easily remove the Samsung themes, Galaxy store, Samsung email app, chrome, Samsung gallery, Samsung health service, The one UI home launcher, smart things, sound alive, Bixby (some of the packages mentioned here are applicable for A, S, and Note series). All you have to do is click on the checkbox next to each app. Any package or service on your Samsung device can be disabled and later on, you want to bring back the app or service you can quickly enable it by doing the opposite (untick the box)

Even if you don't have any idea about the package you are looking through. Just click on it and you can see Google it option. which will give you a synopsis of that particular package. No, you know whether it's ok to disable it or not.
