Training

The Boy Scouts of America requires certain core training and provides further optional training. Starting the training process early provides measurable benefits.

All current and new leaders must complete the following as required by Council and by our Pack. In Cub Scouts, much of the training can be completed online.

To become a leader you must:

1. Fill out an Adult Application;

2. Go to myscouting.org and create an account, and

   1. Take Youth Protection training - (certificate must be turned in with Application);

   2. Take “This is Scouting” Training;

   3. Take “Leader Specific” Training;

3. Contact the Pack Committee Chair about courses you have completed so Pack records can be updated; and

4. Complete Pack Specific Training, which will teach you how we communicate as a Pack and allow you to use the tools we have available to all of our leaders.
