The Needham Camporee is cancelled this year, so we are giving scouts the chance to experience some favorite Camporee activities at our November Pack Meeting! Because of the strong commitment to safety that Pack 4 families demonstrated at Rocket Day and the hikes, we feel confident that we can safely host this meeting outdoors, in-person.

When: Sunday, November 8th, 2020 2:00 - approx 4:00PM

Where: Needham Town Forest. We will meet at Horsford Pond, located on Central Ave near the Needham RTS. There is a small parking lot at Horsford Pond, with additional parking available at Claxton Field.

We will meet at at 2:00PM and hike to the Needham Scouters' Camp in socially distanced groups. At the Scout Camp, there will be several activity stations set up, including:

• campfire building

• knot tying

• tent set-up

• assembling a first aid kit

All participants must wear a mask at all times, and please be mindful of social distancing. We ask that only one parent/guardian attend, and no siblings attend. The meeting will take place rain or shine, within reason.

Scouts should wear their Class A uniform, appropriate outerwear and shoes for hiking, and bring a small backpack with the six essentials for a hike: Flashlight, Filled Water Bottle, Whistle, First Aid Kit, Sun Protection and Trail Food.
