This position helps cubs develop a love for the outdoors & being active. Participation in every event planned is not a requirement for this role. The Outdoor Activities Coordinator will:
Plan and arrange a monthly outdoor activity, or substitute indoor adventure for winter weather.
Gather information about permits, entry requirements, cost, transportation, parking, etc.
Solicit a registered adult leader to lead the outing.
Write up communication and be point of contact for questions regarding the outing.
Work with Marketing and Communications Chair to distribute information about the event to the pack
Secure group permits or permission when required.
Be aware of BSA health and safety requirements, and see that they are communicated and followed.
Review all activities to ensure that they comply with BSA policies in the Guide to Safe Scouting.
