When do you meet?

One Hour per Week, One Event per Month

Cub Scouts meet for about an hour, once per week. The day your Scout will meet will depend on the den he joins (but it's probably Monday evening).

Pack Meetings

The whole Pack meets once per month on a Monday evening. These meetings are used to showcase the achievements of each Den and to recognize Scouts individually with awards and advancement. Some months the Pack Meeting is replaced by a large Pack activity (e.g., our annual "Blue & Gold Awards Banquet").

Den Meetings

Your Scout will be part of a Den of 6-8 boys. The den will meet 2-3 times per month, skipping the weeks when a Pack Meeting is held. The meeting day and location is set by the parents and the Den Leader. Most dens choose to meet on Mondays at Union Valley Elementary School to be consistent with Pack Meetings.

Events & Activities

The Pack typically schedules one event or activity per month. Camping, Pinewood Derby, Parades... These events deliver the adventure that your Scout is promised. See our 2017-18 Event Preview for more information and the anticipated schedule.

What if we can't make some meetings or events?

No problem! The Cub Scout program is best when you are actively attending meetings and events. During these times we are often fufilling requirements towards some rank or award. But if you miss some meetings or events, those requirements can be made-up at home with the help of a trusted adult and demonstrated to a Den Leader when complete.

A Year-Round Program

Cub Scouts continues the whole year through. Pack and Den meetings are held during the school year, September-June. Summer months bring summer camp and monthly outdoor Pack activities.
