Astronomy Night - Postponed
Mr. Garriel did not plan far enough in advance for this weekend, but is working on a new plan with our friends at Rowan University. On the bright side, this event will probably be best with a little warmer weather.
Dates & details will be provided as soon as we have them!

Your Den Leader has tickets for you to sell. Your fundraising goal is 10 tickets per Scout. Please return money and unsold tickets to your Den Leader during your den meeting the week of March-5th.
Pinewood Derby Results
What an amazing derby! The competition was fast. Major skills on display this year. Well done everyone!
Special thanks to Friendship Community Church for hosting us again this year, and to all the behind-the-scenes helpers that make this event a success - Paul, Tom, Jeff, Becky, Shauna, Steffi, Harry, Pete, Jacqui, Patrick, all the bakers, and all the Akelas who help Scouts make these incredible cars every year!

Pinewood Derby Inspection
Tonight (Monday) is the first car inspection at Union Valley Cafeteria, 7pm. The second inspection is on Friday night at Friendship Community Church @ 7pm. Mr. Garriel will stick around until at least 8:30 on Monday. Friday, Mr. Garriel will be there until 9:00pm.
You only need to go to one inspection. Mr. Garriel will keep all cars after they pass inspection. If you can't make either inspection, please make arrangements with Mr. Garriel. He can inspect your car during the week at his house.
It is to your benefit to go to both inspections. A failed inspection tonight means that you've got time to fix. Failing inspection on Friday night is VERY stressful.
Saturday morning inspection will happen only in exceptional circumstances. Please arrange with me prior to the Friday inspection. I need to create the tournament brackets and get the software working. Late entries are very difficult to handle while setting up for the Derby.
The snow tubing trip is cancelled for this weekend.
-25 °F wind chill is too dangerous to be on the mountain. Frostbite occurs in 10 minutes. We will decide at the January Committee Meeting if / when to reschedule.
Friends of Scouting
Our Scout Law says that "A Scout is Thrifty." A Scout works to pay his way and to help others. The operating costs for Garden State Council are about $200 per Scout. A critical portion of those costs are paid for through the generous Friends of Scouting donations made by friends like you.
