New to scouting? Overwhelmed and don't know what questions to ask and to who? You've found the right place! We hope the information we gathered here will help your scout ease right into the pack.

We invite you to join us at one of our meetings or outings. We have den meetings (grade specific broken out by Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, Arrow of Light) and Pack meetings (Pack consists of all the dens combined) Thursday evenings at United Methodist Church. Check our calendar or email us to get more information about the meetings.

Cub Scouting is a family affair so bring the whole family!

New Scouting Checklist

Bookmark this website, check it often for updates.
Parents complete the Youth Protection online training (print out the certificate).
Fill out Boy Scouts of America Youth Application for your scout and the medical A&B Forms.
Fill out the Adult Application for the parent.
Submit all the applications/forms including a copy of the Youth Protection certificate and fees (see below) to our membership chair.
Get in contact with your Den Leader.
Fill out the Parent Volunteer Form.
Get your scout their uniform and handbook (see below for details).
Attend meetings (den, pack, committee) and weekend events like hiking and over-nighters.
All new Cub Scouts excluding Lions need to complete the Bobcat requirements as early in the year as possible. The Handbook explains all the requirements.
Track your scouts achievements in ScoutBook.
Make friends for life and have fun!

Membership Fee Structure

The annual fee for Scouts in Pack 168 for 2018-2019 is $95. The fees for the 2018 year for our pack includes the annual registration fee to the National Scout Headquarters ($33), BSA Insurance ($7) and Council Activity Fee ($29) the remainder ($26) going to the pack which helps pays for award patches, books, training materials and other pack costs.

The boys life magazine is optional and cost $12. (Total with Magazine is $112)

For Adult Leaders and ALL YOUTH 18-21 MUST have a current Youth Protection Training certificate (training is online and in the Northeast Region good for two year before renewal is necessary). WE NEED A COPY OF YOUR CERTIFICATE or CARD or We will have to delete you from our roster!

Make all checks payable to “PACK 168”. These fees are required for the Pack to Recharter with the Council. The Deadline is NO LATER than November 15th.
