John Hendrick is a PADI Master Instructor, and holds a Instructor Development Course Staff rating, and is also a Master Scuba Diver Trainer. John is an avid diver with over 2,000 dives to his name. Over the past 20 years John has earned many awards for his dive training techniques and training skills. In 2013 John Earned the PADI Elite Instructor Rating, and has worked closely with many schools, dive clubs, and training organizations. He has dedicated his teaching career to training people with special needs and learning disabilities.
John became a Master Instructor while working for Sport Chalet (8 Years), where he managed the number one ranked shop in the chain. During his time working for the largest dive chain John instructed out of 11 different locations.
Until 2016 Mr. Hendrick was a member of the Board of Directors for the Aloha Kai, a research and education focused nonprofit based in Newport Beach. Aloha Kai mission is to teach and educate all people who live where the land meets the sea about marine environments and how water runoff effects the marine eco system. Part of the Aloha Kai focus is to help people on the local leave design better runoff management systems to lessen the impact of farming and other run off.
In 2015, John joined the Board of Directors for Hello Ocean, and Non-profit dedicated to educating people about the hydrological cycle, and creating eco-friendly environment.
In 2012 John Co-founded California Divers, a nonprofit diving organization dedicated to the education and safety of California's Divers. John's affiliation with California Divers ended in 2016, when his role and the demand Pacific Dive Training increased.
In 2013, John joined forces with some of California's best known and Highly sought after instructors, to form Pacific Dive Training. A training service for acidic organizations and clubs, that also offers personalizes training programs for individuals and small groups. In 2015 he became the Director of Education, and in 2016 he accepted the duties as President of the Pacific Dive Training.
Pacific Dive Training now offers services at multiple college campuses, and contracts training service to select Southern California Dive shops.
