I really want to play b1.7.3 with my friends (it was the first version of Minecraft I ever played!) but I cannot find where/how to download it. I've tried mcversions.net but server files are not included for beta versions.
So while looking at some of the first snapshots released to minecraft Link I saw the server download and realized it has a different download than the server downloads today. _9-pre/minecraft_server.jar and the same for the next snapshots (all you have to do is change 1_9-pre to what you want it to be). So i tried using it for release versions and it worked all the way up to 1.5.2. So, I was wondering if it went back further than the 1.0 pre-releases. So I went and looked at beta 1.8's snapshots and found the same link _8-pre/minecraft_server.jar . So yet again I was wondering if it went back further so I tried changing the link to _7_3/minecraft_server.jar and _6_6/minecraft_server.jar (those are for beta 1.7.3 and beta 1.6.6) needless to say it didn't work. So with that not working I am wondering if there is a different link out there for the older servers like old as in Alpha and Beta. Which would be really dope! Or maybe I have the right link for Alpha and Beta servers I just don't know the server versions. Hmmm, I don't know. That is why I am making this post in hope that someone else knows Please give any input or thought about this!! The Old link and the New link don't let you download versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2.1, 1.2.2, 1.2.3, 1.2.4 Which is another reason I think there may be another link but we are missing! But with the Old link you can download 1.2!

The server app will be downloaded as server.jar. If you ever need to manage versions of Minecraft, or if you want to upgrade your Minecraft server, it may be helpful to rename the downloaded server.jar to minecraft_server_1.18.2.jar, matching the highlighted version numbers to whatever version you just downloaded:

We highly recommend naming the JAR file that was downloaded something that indicates what version it is for, we typically like using minecraft_snapshot_VERSION.jar, and we replace VERSION with the version of the game it is.
