Pabitra Nayak is currently doing PhD on 'Designing Layered Halide Perovskites for Efficient Optoelectronics' under the guidance of Dr. Dibyajyoti Ghosh in Dept. of Chemistry, IIT Delhi. He has been an awardee of the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship since January 2022.
Pabitra finished graduation from OUAT, Bhubaneshwar, and post-graduation from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. He joined the CDFM group in December 2021. Apart from research, he likes to play badminton and loves traveling.
Prof. Dibyajyoti Ghosh is the PhD supervisor of P. K. Nayak. Dibyajyoti obtained his Ph.D. in 2016 under the guidance of Professor Swapan K Pati from JNCASR, Bangalore. Following this, he embarked on a two-year post-doctoral research position at the University of Bath in the United Kingdom, collaborating with Professors Saiful Islam and Alison Walker in the Department of Physics and Chemistry. Subsequently, from November 2018 to July 2021, Dibyajyoti worked as a research associate at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States, under the mentorship of Dr. Sergei Tretiak and Dr. Amanda Neukirch. In July 2021, he took up a role as an assistant professor at IIT Delhi. Beyond his academic pursuits, Dibyajyoti has a keen interest in outdoor activities such as hiking, playing football, and traveling.
