Since the passing out of the 1st Physics Special batch from Peradeniya, A small, but close-knit alumni group was a part of the Peradeniya Physics Family. We formally started expanding our network beyond Physics special graduates in 2021 as the ‘Peradeniya Physics Well-Wishers’ (P2W2) group, which then soon evolved to the Physics Alumni Association of University of Peradeniya, PAA.UP. The association is now open for anyone who would like to help the Department of Physics at University of Peradeniya and its programs.
PAA.UP logo, depicting ‘the dawn over the horizon’ indicates out vision of being the primarily influential stakeholder of the Department of Physics at University of Peradeniya in shaping the future of the institute and enriching its key output (Physics Special graduates) and other community beneficiaries.
Our mission is to dynamically assess and aid the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, and the University of Peradeniya in enriching students learning experience as demanded by the changing global trends in academia and Industry by supplementing co-curricular activities and critical learning environments.
● Monitoring and crafting suggestions and plans for preserving international standards and uplifting the quality of the primary degree program (Physics Special Honors) and other service programs.
