Privacy Policy for Salesforce Dark Mode & Night Theme
Last Updated: August 5, 2026
1. Overview
Salesforce Dark Mode & Night Theme ("the Extension") is committed to maintaining user privacy and security. This Privacy Policy outlines our data handling practices, explaining why permissions are requested and confirming our strict zero-data-collection model.
2. Zero Data Collection
The Extension DOES NOT collect, track, store, transmit, or share any personal information, browsing history, CRM data, login credentials, IP addresses, or usage analytics. All operations take place locally on your machine within your browser environment.
3. Justification of Requested Permissions
• "storage" Permission:
- Purpose: Used solely to store your visual theme preferences (e.g., chosen preset, brightness, contrast, grayscale, and warmth slider values) as well as your local license key activation status.
- Scope: All data is saved locally using the Chrome Storage API so that your visual preferences persist across browser sessions. No storage data ever leaves your device.
• Host Permissions (*://*.salesforce.com/*):
- Purpose: Required to inject the dark mode CSS stylesheets and lightweight content scripts directly into Salesforce web pages.
- Scope: Restricted exclusively to Salesforce subdomains. This permission allows the Extension to apply custom dark color filters and intelligent inversion algorithms to dashboard elements, rendering them in dark mode while keeping CRM charts and user avatars natural. The Extension does not monitor, record, read, or process any of your confidential CRM business data.
4. Third-Party Code & Compliance
The Extension contains no remote scripts, external trackers, advertising frameworks, or hidden analytical tools. It fully complies with Chrome Web Store Manifest V3 safety and privacy policies.
