Future Developers ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of the students managed through our application. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, stores, and safeguards your information in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide our attendance management services:
Personal Data: Name, Roll Number, Class/Section, and Guardian Phone Number.
Biometric Data (Face Embeddings): Mathematical representations of facial features derived from photographs. We do not store the original photos of faces used for recognition; only the encrypted mathematical data (embeddings) required for matching is stored.
Attendance Records: Dates, times, and attendance status (Present/Absent/Late).
Device Information: Basic device identifiers used for app functionality and crash reporting.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following specific purposes:
Attendance Automation: To identify students via facial recognition and mark their attendance automatically.
Record Keeping: To maintain a history of student attendance for the educational institution.
Communication: To send attendance alerts (via WhatsApp/SMS) to parents/guardians using the phone numbers provided.
4. Camera & Face Data Policy (Prominent Disclosure)
Our app requests Camera Permission to function. This permission is used strictly for:
Capturing Face Data: To register a student's face for the first time.
Scanning: To recognize faces during attendance taking.
Privacy Statement regarding Face Data:
Collection: We collect face imagery only when you explicitly tap "Register Face" or "Scan Attendance".
Usage: The camera feed is processed in real-time to generate a mathematical vector.
Storage: This vector is stored securely in your local device database and synchronized with our encrypted cloud server (Google Firebase).
Sharing: We never share, sell, or trade biometric/face data with external third parties, advertising agencies, or data brokers. It is shared strictly with our cloud service provider (Firebase) solely for the purpose of data synchronization between your authorized devices.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Retention: Student data (including face embeddings) is retained only as long as the student is enrolled in the system.
Deletion: Administrators can delete a student's profile at any time from within the app. Deleting a student profile immediately and permanently removes their Personal Data, Face Data, and Attendance Records from both the local device and the cloud server.
Account Deletion Request: If you are a system administrator and wish to delete your entire institution's account and data, please contact us at ozonic.offnbuy@gmail.com, and we will process the deletion within 30 days.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our services are intended for use by educational institutions and teachers to manage student data. We rely on the educational institution to obtain necessary parental consents for collecting data of minors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 for marketing purposes.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to facilitate our app's core functions:
Google Firebase (Firestore, Auth): For secure cloud storage and authentication.
ML Kit (Google): For on-device face detection processing.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data transmission between the app and our cloud servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS. Biometric data is stored as non-reversible mathematical vectors.
