Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Owemi handles your information and protects your privacy while using the application.
Owemi is designed as an offline personal debt and credit tracking application. Your financial records and personal information are stored locally on your device. Owemi does not operate its own servers and does not transmit your personal or financial data to Nifab Global Tech or any third party.
Owemi allows you to provide information when creating and using your local account. This may include:
Name
Email address
Phone number
Username and password
Debt and credit records
Notes and payment details you choose to enter
All information you create inside Owemi is stored locally on your device and remains under your control. Owemi does not collect, upload, or store your financial records on external servers.
The information you provide is used only to provide Owemi features, including:
Creating and managing your local account
Displaying your debt and credit records
Organizing payment information
Providing reminders for payment due dates
Protecting access to your app using optional PIN and biometric security
Your information is not used for advertising, tracking, profiling, or any commercial purpose.
Owemi stores your information locally on your device using a local database.
Security measures include:
Passwords are securely hashed before storage
PIN protection uses secure device storage (FlutterSecureStorage)
Biometric authentication (Fingerprint/Face Unlock) is handled entirely by your device's native operating system. Owemi does not access, collect, or store your biometric credentials.
Because Owemi does not use cloud servers, your financial records remain strictly on your device.
To provide our local-only features, Owemi requests access to certain device permissions. These permissions are used strictly on-device and your data is never uploaded, shared, or collected:
Contacts Permission: Used solely to let you choose a person from your address book to quickly fill in their name and phone number on debtor or creditor records.
Camera and Gallery / Media Permission: Used only when you choose to take a photo or upload a file (JPG, PNG, or PDF) to attach as an invoice, agreement, or receipt to a record.
Notification Permission: Used to trigger local alerts for daily reviews (8 AM) and target due dates (9 AM).
Ignore Battery Optimization Permission: Requested to allow your device's OS to launch scheduled payment reminders on time, preventing aggressive manufacturer battery-saving managers from blocking local notifications when Owemi is closed.
Owemi does not collect:
Location data
Browsing history
Device identifiers
Advertising identifiers
Usage analytics
Behaviour tracking data
Contact lists (your full address book is never scanned or read; we only read the specific single contact you manually select)
Financial account information
Banking information
Credit card information
Owemi does not use analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking technologies.
Owemi does not sell, rent, share, or transfer your personal information to any third party.
Your information stays on your device unless you personally choose to share it.
For example, if you export a backup file or PDF report and send it through WhatsApp, email, or another service, that sharing is controlled by you and is subject to the privacy practices of that service.
Owemi allows you to create backups and export reports for your own use.
Backup files and exported documents are created and stored on your device. You decide where and how these files are shared.
We recommend only sharing your exported files with trusted people or services.
Owemi uses local notifications to remind you about payment dates and other reminders you create.
These notifications are generated directly on your device and do not send your information to any external server.
Owemi creates a local account on your device using the information you provide.
Users can delete their account and associated data through the Delete Account option inside the application.
If you need assistance with account deletion, you can contact us at: Nifabiq@gmail.com
When an account is deleted, locally stored account information and financial records associated with Owemi will be removed from the device.
Owemi is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through Owemi, please contact us and we will assist with removing the information.
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have control over your information.
You can:
Edit your profile information
Manage your debt and credit records
Export your data
Delete your account and stored information
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements to Owemi or changes in privacy requirements.
Any significant updates will be communicated through the application or this page.
