Ovelia (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a personal finance and expense-tracking application focused on privacy, local data processing, and minimal data collection. Most user financial data is stored only on the device.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected.
When the App is installed, the user is automatically signed in using Firebase Anonymous Authentication.
This generates:
A unique anonymous user ID (UID)
We do not know the user's name, email, phone number, or any personal identity.
To manage voice logging limits
To identify the user session in Firebase
To prevent abuse of the voice processing feature
We do not treat this UID as personal information.
When using the voice logging feature:
Your device records audio only long enough to convert it to text.
ML Kit (on-device model) converts audio → text locally.
Only the transcribed text (not the audio) is sent to our backend to generate an audio response.
The text may be temporarily stored for processing but is not used to identify you.
No raw audio is uploaded or stored.
Ovelia uses Google AdMob, which may collect:
Device identifiers
IP address
Approximate location
App interactions
Advertising data

If enabled (Crashlytics), we collect:
Device model
OS version
Crash logs
No financial data is included in crash reports.
These never leave the device:
Expense entries
Spending history
Categories
Budgets
Notes
Notification schedules
Used to send spending reminders and alerts.
Used to schedule precise reminders.
Used for:
Firebase services
Voice processing
Ads (AdMob)
Used only when the user activates voice logging.
Audio is processed locally and is not uploaded or stored.
We use collected information only to:
Provide voice logging functionality
Manage limits using Firebase UID
Improve app performance
Display ads
Fix crashes and technical issues
We do NOT:
Sell user data
Share user data with third parties for marketing
Upload financial data
We may share limited technical data with:
Google AdMob (ads)
Google Firebase (anonymous account & voice processing)
We do not share any financial information or personal identities.
We use:
Local-only storage for financial data
Encrypted network communication
Restricted Firebase access
No permanent storage of voice transcripts (unless needed temporarily)
Users can:
Delete all financial data from the app
Uninstall the app to erase all local data
Disable microphone or notifications anytime
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no account to delete.
Ovelia is designed for general audiences and may be used by people of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information that directly identifies a child.
The App does not require an account, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information. All financial data remains stored locally on the user’s device and is not transmitted to our servers.
The only data collected is:
A randomly generated anonymous Firebase UID
Temporary text from voice transcription for processing
Standard ad-related data collected by Google AdMob
If you believe your child provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy.
Changes will be reflected with a new “Last updated” date.
